
Ed Gallucci Talks to Red Velvet Media
Ed has won over 100 industry awards including; five Andy’s and two Clio’s. His work appeared international in “Photo-Graphis” for seven years running. While on retainer for thirteen years; 1979-1993 with Newsweek Magazine’s Cover Department, Ed has had over 40 published covers. He was a featured photographer on the ABC television show, “World of Photography” in the early 80’s. In 1992, a whole new world of image making opened up to him, when he was introduced to “Photoshop.” “Adapting to the computer and the digital medium was a natural progression. As a photographic digital artist Ed has done over a dozen paperback book covers for Penguin Putnam books, including authors Tom Clancy, Richard A. Clark, Michael Kilian, Carol O”Connell, John Sanford, D.L. Wilson, C.J. Box, and most recent Bill Kellan. In more recent events, Ed’s B&W photographs of Bruce Springsteen and Rod Stewart are in the “Thinking Photography” show at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City Missouri. In June, 2010 twenty-two of Ed’s rock ‘n roll photographs where posted on Samantha Lewin’s website and three are on display on the wall of her private gallery on East 19th street in NYC
